We are currently part of the Strategic Planning process in the Pierce Deanery of the Archdiocese of Seattle. As part of the vision for the deanery, we will be merging with other local parishes to form one new Catholic parish community in Tacoma. You can read more about it at the Seattle Archdiocese Pierce Deanery Strategic Planning News page

Archbishop Etienne shares his immense gratitude with the parishioners of St. Ann, St. Rita of Cascia, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary parishes and St. John of the Woods mission. The progress the five parishes have made working together to form the new parish is extraordinary. Read the Letter from the Archbishop.

A survey was sent to St. Rita of Cascia registered members in early September 2021. The purpose of the survey was to gather input from St. Rita of Cascia parishioners to help those working on the Strategic Planning process of merging several parishes in Tacoma into one new parish.
