Our mission is to engage as disciples, serving the poor and marginalized, instilling in our hearts the care and love of Christ. Nativity House Holy Name Society prepares and serves a monthly meal for the street people and the homeless at Nativity House with School of Religion students prepareing cupcakes for dessert. Allen AME Pantry St. Rita Parish collects and delivers groceries to the pantry on the fourth weekend of each month. Family Housing Parishioners help families in transitional housing by preparing and serving a meal and often chaperoning an overnight at Bellarmine High School. Peace Lutheran St. Rita Parish prepares and serves a meal in April and October at Peace Lutheran Church in Tacoma. Care Net/Pregnancy Assistance On the first weekend of each month, parishioners donate funds, materials and knitted baby items. Habitat for Humanity Holy Names Society prepares and serves a meal for the volunteer workers twice a year. Respect for Life Parishioners participate in a prayerful vigil, 40 Days for Life, twice a year and attend the yearly ProLife rally in Olympia, WA. Hunger Walk/Thanksgiving Baskets Parents club participates in the Associated Ministries Annual Hunger Walk. Parents Club collects and delivers food for Thanksgiving to designated families through CCS. Guadalupe House St. Rita Parish provides groceries, prepared food and hygiene items. Prayer Line & Televisit Members of St. Rita Prayer Line devote daily prayers and rosaries for individuals, needs of the community, and works of charity. Televisit calls the sick and homebound. Financial Support St. Rita Parish financially supports St. Leo's Rental Assistance, Irma Gary Transitional Housing for Women, energy assistance, and Respect for Life.
